Mary Gross


Mary Margaret Gross is an American voice actress, comedian and actress, perhaps best known for her fouryear stint on Saturday Night Live from 1981 to 1985. Her credits also include minor roles on Animaniacs, Boston Legal, and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. Grosss trademark is her soft, treacly voice.

Gross was born in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Virginia Ruth , a telephone operator, and William Oscar Gross, a tool designer. She is the younger sister of actor Michael Gross, who was in the 1980s sitcom Family Ties.
